FINSYNC integrates with Fulton Bank's ECard Transaction Gateway, allowing you to connect your existing Fulton Bank merchant account to FINSYNC and start accepting credit card payments.
To accept credit card payments, you must have both an ECard Transaction Gateway merchant account and access to the ECard Transaction Gateway portal. A merchant account is a holding account where funds from credit card payments are held before being transferred to your business bank account. A payment gateway is a service that verifies, accepts, or declines credit card transactions, allowing funds to flow into your business bank account once a payment clears.
To connect your ECard Transaction Gateway account with FINSYNC, you must first create two API Security Keys — one Private Key and one Public Key. API Keys are unique strings of text that act as secure credentials for authenticating with FINSYNC.
Follow the steps below to create your API Security Keys:
1. Log in to your ECard Transaction Gateway Account
2. Click OPTIONS on the lower left menu and then click Settings.
3. Once in the Settings screen, click Security Keys.
Important: These API keys should be used exclusively with FINSYNC and must not be shared with or reused for other systems.
4. To create the first key, scroll down to the Private Security Keys section and click the button Add a New Private Key.
5. In the New Private Key form, enter the following information:
- Key Name: Enter "FINSYNC API KEY" as the name for your Private Key.
- Username Associated with Key: Select your User Name from the list.
- API Checkbox: Select the API Checkbox.
- Click the Create button.
6. The new Private Security Key will display as shown in the example below:
7. To create the second key, scroll down to the Public Security Keys section and click the button Add a New Public Key.
8. In the New Public Key form, enter the following information:
- Key Name: Enter "FINSYNC PUBLIC" as the name for your Public Key.
- Username Associated with Key: Select your User Name from the list.
- Key Permission: Select Tokenization.
- Click the Create button.
9. The new Public Security Key will display as shown in the example below. 
Congratulations! You have created the necessary API keys for your ECard Transaction Gateway.
Important: Copy and save your API keys in a secure location now. Once you navigate away from this page, the full key values may not be displayed again and you may need to generate new keys.
